Methodology
How We Source Our Data
MenuPriceToday tracks fast-food prices and nutrition across dozens of countries. Every number on this site is real, sourced, and verifiable — we never estimate, guess, or invent figures. This page explains exactly where our data comes from, how often it updates, and where its limits are.
Where our prices come from
Menu prices are collected from public delivery-platform listings — primarily Uber Eats and foodpanda— for each brand in each country we cover. We record the listed price for a standard, single-serve item (not bundles or promotions) in the country's local currency. Because a single brand sets different prices in different regions, we store prices per country, and per state where regional pricing genuinely differs (for example the United States and Australia).
If a real price isn't available for an item in a given country, we show "Price unavailable" rather than a placeholder like $0.00 — and that page is not indexed until a genuine price exists.
Where our nutrition data comes from
Calories and nutrition (protein, fat, carbohydrates and more) are sourced from each brand's official, published nutrition informationfor the relevant country. We deliberately keep nutrition separate from prices: a price comes from a delivery platform, but a calorie figure only ever comes from the brand itself. We do not apply one country's nutrition data to another, because recipes and serving sizes vary between markets.
How often we update
Prices are re-checked regularly across the locations we track, and each item shows the real date it was last updated — never a hardcoded "today". When a price changes, we keep the history, which powers our price-change tracker.
Currency handling
We show every price in its country's own currency rather than converting everything to one currency. Exchange rates move constantly, and a snapshot conversion can mislead. Showing the genuine local price is the most honest, verifiable way to report what an item actually costs where you are.
Our facts-only stance
We publish facts, not filler. We don't fabricate reviews, ratings, prices or nutrition, and we don't reproduce brands' marketing copy as if it were our own. Where we describe an item, we describe it from the facts. Brand names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners; MenuPriceToday is an independent price-comparison service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any restaurant brand.
Limitations
- Prices can change at any time and may differ from what you see in-store or in a brand's own app.
- Delivery-platform prices sometimes include a platform mark-up versus counter prices.
- Portion names differ between chains, so cross-brand comparisons are by named portion, not gram-for-gram.
- Nutrition can vary by location, customisation and recipe — always check the local menu before relying on a figure.
